Wayan in Moorea, French Polynesia

A while back, I stepped waayyy out of my comfort zone.

I plucked up the courage to ask a well known freediver a favour.

I asked Guillaume Nery from my freediving club if he would mind taking some books to the next place he visits.

He agreed.

I immediately felt bad about asking a favour of someone I didn’t know, who probably had lots more important things on his mind. Would he remember to take them? Did he agree because he felt he had no choice? Who was I to ask such a big favour from a stranger?

Lots of awkward questions, haha.

But yesterday I got this photo from Moorea, via Cedric, my club coach, middleman and facilitator.

I’m so pleased and grateful to see the books at their final destination- in the hands of little ones, the leaders and consumers of tomorrow.

It’s never too early to start the conversation and habit forming around conscious consumption with animals and the planet at heart.

Thank you Guillaume. Thank you Cedric.
